Active ingredients: Tadalafil

Inactive ingredients: Croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, sodium laurilsulphate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline.

Tadalafil side effects

Tadalafil tablets can cause several side effects, as is the case with most medication. Not everyone experiences side effects. These include:

Common: Affecting up to 10% of users

• Headache
• Muscle pain
• Flushing
• Nasal congestion
• Indigestion

Uncommon: Affecting up to 1% of users:

• Palpitations
• Chest pain
• Dizziness
• Fatigue
• Eye pain
• High blood pressure
• Low blood pressure
• Nausea
• Skin reactions
• Ringing in the ears
• Vomiting
• Visual disturbances

If you experience any of the following, seek urgent medical assistance:

• Chest pain
• A painful erection and/or one lasting more than 4 hours
• Seizure
• Sudden loss or altered vision
• Signs of a serious allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, severe skin reactions, or swelling of the lips, eyes, mouth, or throat

You should read the patient information for a full list of side effects. If you experience any side effects, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist, or in serious cases, seek urgent medical assistance. You should always inform us if you have experienced any side effects from taking sildenafil.

Does tadalafil have any long-term side effects?

There are no known long-term side effects of taking tadalafil. Most of the time, side effects subside after a few hours. If you experience side effects that do not disappear after a few hours, you should seek medical attention. Especially if you have a prolonged erection that lasts for more than 4 hours.

Tadalafil warnings

Please read the following warnings before using tadalafil:

• You should only use tadalafil as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
• Tadalafil should not be used by women or children.
• You should not take tadalafil if you have certain medication conditions such as kidney or liver problems, certain heart conditions, certain eye conditions, stomach ulcers, bleeding disorders, or an anatomical deformation of the penis. You should always let your doctor or pharmacist know of any medication conditions before taking tadalafil, so that they can assess whether it is safe for you to take.
• Do not take tadalafil if you have a medical condition called angina, or you are taking medication to treat angina (nitrates).
• You should not take tadalafil if you have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
• You should not take tadalafil if you are allergic to tadalafil, or any of the other ingredients listed in the patient information leaflet.
• You should seek medical attention if you experience a sudden decrease or loss in vision or hearing after taking tadalafil.

Tadalafil interactions

Tadalafil is generally safe to take with most medication. You should speak to your doctor before taking tadalafil if you are taking:

• Alpha blockers such as alfuzosin, doxazosin or tamsulosin
• Medication to treat blood pressure
• Any heart medication
• Medication to treat epilepsy
• Antifungal treatment
• Crizotinib, enzalutamide, imatinib, nilotinib, idelalisib used to treat
• some cancers
• HIV medication
• Erythromycin, clarithromycin, or rifampicin (antibiotics)
• Netupitant or aprepitant used to treat sickness
• Nitrates
• St John’s Wort
• Sapropterin

If you are taking any of these medications, you may still be able to take tadalafil, but your doctor may wish to monitor you, or you may need to leave a gap before taking a tablet.
